Starting Location: Park & Oak, 499 Pennsylvania, Ave. and ending at Maplewood Brewery, 486 Pennsylvania Ave.

Join us for a night where you're the detective in this interactive murder mystery.

Explore Glen Ellyn shops, each hiding potential clues. Interview suspects, gather evidence, and unravel the truth before the killer strikes again!

THE DETAILS

-Tickets are $55 per person. Upon registration, you will receive all materials needed for the evening. A confirmation email will be sent the week prior to the event.

- Check-in and Registration:

Registration will take place at The Parlour of Park & Oak, 499 Pennsylvania Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. The evening will conclude at Maplewood Brewery, 486 Pennsylvania Ave.

- Arrival & Check-In:

Check-in begins 20 minutes prior to your start time. Park & Oak will offer light bites from Marché along with a cash bar. Four locations throughout the experience will offer complimentary wine, beer, or soda. Please bring a valid state ID and your ticket confirmation. This is a 21+ event.

- Group Assignments:

Guests will be placed into groups of eight. If you wish to be with friends, please select the same start time when purchasing tickets. If an issue arises, email us and we will do our best to assist.

- How the Experience Works:

Each group will receive a map guiding you from store to store in a set order. At each location, an actor from Westside Improv will share part of the unfolding story and provide clues. The evening concludes in Maplewood Brewery’s private room, transformed into a detective’s office, where you’ll discover who the killer is.

- Walking Route:

This is a walking event covering just over three downtown blocks, with some back-and-forth between locations. All storefronts are ADA accessible. Comfortable shoes are encouraged.

- Before or After the Event:

Enjoy dinner and specials at Maplewood Brewery to start or end your evening.

- Ticketing:

Tickets are non-refundable. Our ticketing service is Ticket Tailor, which processes payments through PayPal; your credit card statement may list either name.

Severe Weather Policy

Unless otherwise indicated, outdoor events occur rain or shine. If lightning or other dangerous weather is imminent or present, Downtown Glen Ellyn reserves the right to cancel or delay any remaining event activities. Updates on the status of an interrupted or canceled event will be posted to Facebook and Instagram @downtownglenellyn. Please note that event websites and social media pages may not be immediately updated to reflect weather-related changes. If a ticketed event is canceled, Downtown Glen Ellyn will email ticket buyers with options for their unused tickets.

Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued. If a ticketed event is canceled, Downtown Glen Ellyn will email ticket purchasers to advise them of available options.

PayPal

Our ticketing platform, Ticket Tailor, processes payments through PayPal, which is what will appear on your credit card statement. You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase. Please note that these charges correspond to your event tickets from Downtown Glen Ellyn.

Photo/Video Policy

Downtown Glen Ellyn takes photographs and videos of attendees for the purpose of promoting our events, programs, membership, and community initiatives. By attending any Downtown Glen Ellyn event or promotion, the participant (or parent/guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of their image/likeness (or that of a minor child/ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose, without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now or in the future unless noted prior to the event.

ABOUT THE ALLIANCE

The Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn is a 501c6 non-profit organization comprised of dedicated business owners with a goal to be an economic driver for the central business district and to create Glen Ellyn as a destination for Chicagoland. We are supported by the Village of Glen Ellyn, members, sponsors, and events.

Our goal is to increase foot traffic and sales in the central business district by marketing promotions and planning events that heighten awareness and visibility of Downtown Glen Ellyn. We promote Downtown Glen Ellyn as a destination for shoppers and diners, not only for Glen Ellyn residents, but also for visitors from surrounding communities of Chicago.
