Halloween Home Decorating Contest

Whether you're brewing up classic cobweb charm, going full haunted mansion, or crafting a whimsical pumpkin wonderland, we want to see your creativity shine.

Who Can Enter: All Glen Ellyn residents are welcome to participate—whether you're a decorating newbie or a seasoned scare-master.

Categories Include:

• Spookiest Spectacle – For those who love a good scare and dramatic effects.
  
• Most Magical & Whimsical - Think fairy lights, friendly ghosts, Hogwarts and enchanted vibes.
  
• Beautifully Bewitched - Cozy autumn aesthetics. Martha Stewart with a Halloween twist. Homes that could grace the cover of Better Homes & Ghouls.
  
• Best DIY Magic- Homemade magic that impresses with creativity and effort. Think handmade props, upcycled decor, or crafty charm.

Key Dates:

• Entry deadline: October 16
• Judging week: October 16–23 (Voting ends at 5pm, Oct 23rd)
• Winners presented with award signage in the evening: October 23
• Winners announced: October 24

Prizes: Winners will receive bragging rights and a Yard Sign saying they are the Winner of the category to show off their spooky success!

Bonus Fun: All entries will be featured in our online Halloween map so neighbors can take a self-guided tour of Glen Ellyn’s most bewitching homes.

• Those homes near the downtown may be on the route of the Trick or Trolley Tours on Oct 26.
• By submitting this form, you give the right to place the home address on the map. No names or contact info will be given.  This is only for the Alliance of Downtown to contact you if needed.
• Nominate a neighbor! We'll ask on your behalf to be on the map.
