One Community has partnered with Glenbard West High School to create and display in our Village,
student artwork that reflects the diverse identities and experiences of our high school students, which enrich our community each and every day. The theme this year is A Sense of Belonging. Students are focusing on bringing their artistic skills to life this spring, and their compositions will be on display in downtown Glen Ellyn window fronts during the month of April 2025.
This year’s event will kick-off with an opening reception on Thursday, March 20, 2025, 3:30pm – 5:30pm at the First Congregation Church of Glen Ellyn’s gallery space. Join us to meet and mingle with the student artists over hors d’oeuvres and refreshments and view the artwork in a gallery setting.
The aim of the Diversity Arts Project is to bring to the community youth voices, that capture their varied perspectives and allow the community to experience and appreciate them. We hope you will enjoy these creative pieces that highlight the richness of our multi-faceted Village, through the art strokes of those who will lead our society in the future.
