Once again gracing the scenic shores of Lake Ellyn, this juried Fine Art show promises enjoyment for all ages.
Come spend the day surrounded by natural beauty and discover exceptional artwork across a variety of mediums from more than 60 talented artists. Delight in the sounds of live music, children’s entertainment, and the colorful spectacle of Downtown Glen Ellyn’s Dragons on Parade exhibit. Savor a delicious meal from a food truck, cold craft beer, wine, and sweet treats —making it the perfect outing for the whole family!

I'm a Glen Ellyn resident that makes fun, unique & useful items out of wood that include pizza cutters, ice cream scoops, bottle openers, charcutterie & cutting boards to name just a few items. Majority of my work is on lathes & I've enjoyed being part of this show for the past several years.

I use a combination of mono type printing, silk screening, collage work, painting plus drawing in creating my one-of-a-kind images.

Pottery
I create 2 styles of clay pieces. First, I use red & white stoneware, using the coiling & slabs method. Glazed with both commercial & hand-mixed blends, pieces are fired to cone 6. My other style uses air-dry clay to craft fruit & veggie faces, hand-painted and sealed with a clear coat and lashes.

I paint landscapes in oils, occasionally a still life or hybrid of the two. I build my own stretchers and stretch my own canvases. Development of imagery is by means of my own photography.

Acrylic, abstract landscapes, street scenes & clouds. Some miniature, some on gilded canvas, & some in restored vintage frames or vintage wooden plaques.

Jewelry
I make jewelry of vitreous glass melted onto metal for the contemporary woman. The process involves a design including multiple firings of sifted or wet packed glass onto metal followed by careful application of enamel paints, beads, stenciled elements or bits of fine silver wire or foils.

Materials used include hand pressed organics from our flower garden as well as crushed gemstones in specific designs. The materials can be set in hand pigmented resin or clay. Necklaces are constructed with either stainless steel, 14k gold-filled or sterling silver chain & hand wired to findings.

Artist, Greg Orlando, works with wood building stringed instruments as a luthier. All of my instruments are hand crafted by me. Everything is made from scratch no kits are used I enjoy all the work from start to finish. I make functional art that looks beautiful and sounds wonderful in the hands of musicians.

Jewelry
My artwork medium is colorful enamel jewelry. I sift or wet pack vitreous enamels onto hand wrought metal pieces of pure copper or brass. After each layer is applied, the piece is then fired. Multiple layers of enamel, usually from 8 to 20, are layered and fired onto each piece and then hand painted.

I hand draw and paint everything I create. I prefer not to trace. My work varies between very illustrative and cartoony to realistic and emotional. I use all kind of media - watercolor, acrylic, oil paint. sometimes just pencil or charcoal and sometimes its markers or colored pencils.

My work primarily features repurposed materials—such as vintage components, reclaimed metals, and ethically sourced or upcycled gemstones. Each piece is carefully designed to tell a story, blending the beauty of the past with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.

My work is both functional and non-functional ceramic, made both on the wheel and hand-built. I use handmade prints over hand painted detail work. I use a variety of glazes together, and fire to Cone 6.

Using watercolor paintings that I have made, I cut them up into squares. These squares are glued onto paper and arranged into a grid as an abstract piece

I combine water-based paints & mediums (model paste, string gel, sand gel, beads gel, pumice, & liquid alcohol). I use paper, canvas, bristol board. I apply paint by pour, splatter, brush, & linework. I use watercolor techniques on canvas with liquid acrylics to show a fluid movement on the canvas.

Sand Casting, relief art- a negative impression created under the surface of the sand, by pushing figures in the sand -taking them out. Lite weight cement is poured into impression freezing sand -fill impression remove from sand breaking the mold. Each is hand painted w/Acrylic paints & sealed.

I use acrylic on all of my paintings. My techniques range from brushes, pale knives, scrapers to move paint and a blow dryer. I also make paintings using texture and trowels.

Multilayer jewelry featuring all natural minerals with unique pairings of design style and materials. Each individual mineral is hand knotted and fused together using 14K gold, sterling silver or gunmetal wire.

Alex Velázquez Brightbill is a Mexican artist who immigrated to Chicago at ten. She holds a BFA from Northeastern Illinois University and has exhibited in numerous galleries and cultural events. Her work explores the hybridity of growing up between two cultures, blending childhood memories of Mexico.

Eco prints are a technique where leaves and flowers leave their shapes and colors on paper after steaming or boiling them. Wood relief printmaking involves carving an image into the surface of a block of wood, rolling ink onto it, and taking an impression or print onto paper.

I design and create pearl jewelry using extremely high-quality pearls that I source directly from Asia. I use a wire wrap technique to position the pearls and create flowers and other beautiful shapes for necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets. I also use plated,filled, solid gold, and silver.

Katie’s oil paintings are created with natural, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly earth pigments, hand-mixed with oil in the tradition of the Old Masters of the Renaissance. She incorporates real pressed flowers into her work, using them as symbols of growth, resilience, and transformation.

I source antique buttons from the Victorian era to 1960's. These special buttons have historical significance and stories to tell. I hand forge silver components, use gold filled, plated metals and semi-precious gemstones. I create unique designs that balance the old with the new.

I use brightly colored oils to incite emotion and often mix the paint directly on the canvas. Paint is applied with a palette knife, working within the composition to create the movement of nature.

Acrylic paint on natural birchbark. The texture and anatomy of bark dictates subject matter resulting in dynamic 3D art. A unique & original art form.

I start by hand manipulating fibers, threads, yarn, strings and fabrics through multiple layers of technique which may include dyeing, intertwining, layering, commingling, knitting, or hand-weaving. I finish each piece one at a time by hand in water which transforms them as if by magic.

I am using a variety of domestic and imported stoneware and porcelain clays. I work on the pottery wheel and work with slabs of clay to create my functional pottery.

From whole cowhides I create custom belts while you wait. Customers watch as I finish their belt on my portable butcher block. I value a zero waste philosophy and utilize every square inch of my hides and weaving leather tapestries assists me in this process. I also make leather & brass accessories.
