It’s a Downtown Taco Takeover and the perfect day of tasting, strolling, sipping, and savoring the best of Glen Ellyn’s dining scene. Along the way, enjoy festive décor, and fun photo ops that bring the Cinco de Mayo spirit to life.

You will get 5 Taco Tickets! Guests choose from 5 different signature street tacos from a lineup of 12 restaurants, each serving a taco inspired by their own culinary style including American, Asian, Irish, Italian, BBQ, Mexican, and even a dessert taco crafted with a waffle‑cone shell and gelato and more.

When you arrive at the restaurant you selected as your starting point, they’ll have your name on their registration list. You’ll be given a lanyard, a map, and five Taco Tickets to kick off your crawl.

Restaurants will also offer specialty drinks and sides for purchase; everything from margaritas & Pacifico to street corn & nachos.

Also, you get to help crown the champions. Admission includes a voting code so you can cast your votes for:

Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and bring your festive energy. Everyone is welcome at this delicious Downtown celebration.

Here are details for the afternoon:

Admission is $25 per person which includes 5 street tacos tickets, a lanyard, program/map, photo ops, and additional entertainment!
Choose which location to start when purchasing your ticket. This restaurant will have your name on their registration list to give you a lanyard and 5 Taco Tickets.
Check in at your first restaurant (identified on your ticket) any time after 1pm. The rest of the afternoon is up to you!
This is an all-ages event.
Tickets must be purchased on-line prior to the event. There are no refunds.
Tickets will not be sold the night of the event.
Deadline for ticket sales: Thursday, April 30th at midnight

Taco Crawl Tickets

Severe Weather Policy

Unless otherwise indicated, outdoor events occur rain or shine. If lightning or other dangerous weather is imminent or present, Downtown Glen Ellyn reserves the right to cancel or delay any remaining event activities. Updates on the status of an interrupted or canceled event will be posted to Facebook and Instagram @downtownglenellyn. Please note that event websites and social media pages may not be immediately updated to reflect weather-related changes. If a ticketed event is canceled, Downtown Glen Ellyn will email ticket buyers with options for their unused tickets.

Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued. If a ticketed event is canceled, Downtown Glen Ellyn will email ticket purchasers to advise them of available options.

PayPal

Our ticketing platform, Ticket Tailor, processes payments through PayPal, which is what will appear on your credit card statement. You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase. Please note that these charges correspond to your event tickets from Downtown Glen Ellyn.

Photo/Video Policy

Downtown Glen Ellyn takes photographs and videos of attendees for the purpose of promoting our events, programs, membership, and community initiatives. By attending any Downtown Glen Ellyn event or promotion, the participant (or parent/guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of their image/likeness (or that of a minor child/ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose, without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now or in the future unless noted prior to the event.
