Papier Girl, a custom invitation, stationery, greeting card and paper gift store has just opened at 413 N. Main Street in downtown Glen Ellyn. Owner Lesley Vesevick, a local resident, decided to relocate her 8 year old business from Naperville so that she could be closer to home and bring her love of paper to Glen Ellyn.
Papier Girl opened in Naperville in 2005 and Lesley took over as the owner of the business in 2009. Wedding invitations were the majority of her business as well as custom invitations. Now that she has moved to Glen Ellyn, Lesley plans to increase her business to include more greeting cards, calendars, wrapping paper and other paper gifts as well as paper and writing focused events.
Lesley always believed that a hand written note is priceless and that the right paper for any occasion makes a lasting first impression. What she enjoys most about her business is being involved in the creative process. Knowing that the event, whether it be a kids birthday party, a surprise 40th, holiday cocktail party, corporate fundraising event, the wedding of her clients dreams or the announcement of their first baby all began with carefully selected paper from Papier Girl brings her great personal satisfaction. These are the milestones in life that we celebrate or announce to the people in our lives. Paper sets the stage for the story to be told.
Papier Girl carries local artists Bella Ink and PJGreetings as well as beautiful products from brands Crane, William Arthur, Dauphine Press and Smock.
Mark your calendars for Papier Girl’s Grand Opening Celebration which will be held Thursday, October18 - Sunday, October 21. Lesley is planning a busy four day celebration with exciting events, contests, and drawings for all her clients. For celebration details and to RSVP go to her website papiergirl.com.
